On September 2, Galliker Transport AG celebrated the successful completion of their apprenticeships by 46 young talents. In the presence of their parents and vocational trainers, they were honored for their outstanding dedication and perseverance. For the graduates, this special evening marked the end of their apprenticeship and, at the same time, the start of a promising professional future.

Rolf Galliker, COO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Galliker Transport AG, took advantage of the festive occasion to officially open the newly renovated Technical Academy. The modernized facilities represent a strong commitment to the company’s in-house “Academy World” and “Green Logistics” strategies. The state-of-the-art facilities now provide the ideal foundation for training aspiring professionals in mechanical trades specifically in alternative and environmentally friendly propulsion technologies. A fully electric Mercedes eActros 400 truck underscores the forward-looking significance of this development. The modern vehicle allows students to gain hands-on experience with the technology and to specifically explore alternative drive systems. The company’s own driving school, the “Driver Academy,” also uses the eActros as part of its training program. Galliker is laying the groundwork to ensure that future cohorts are optimally prepared for their professional careers.

The day—which was packed with events—concluded fittingly with a personal tribute and gift presentation by Rolf Galliker to the newly certified professionals. During a group dinner at the Galliker restaurant, everyone looked back on the past years of training and raised a toast in a convivial atmosphere.

The next day began seamlessly and with just as much anticipation. Galliker Transport AG welcomed the parents of the 67 new apprentices to give them a closer look at the company’s diverse training programs. During a tour of the headquarters, they gained extensive insights into the company’s various divisions. This allowed them to experience firsthand the dynamic environment in which the young people will be trained in the future. Afterward, the newly opened Technical Academy provided the perfect setting to round out the evening. In a relaxed atmosphere, the parents, the apprentices, and the Academy team took the opportunity to get to know each other better and to address initial questions about the apprenticeship program at Galliker.

The two days highlighted the high priority Galliker places on training young people. By combining the “Academy World” and “Green Logistics” strategies, the family-owned company aligns its training and continuing education programs early on with the changing demands of the business world. This creates attractive career prospects for employees and lays a strong foundation for the company’s sustainable growth.
