Sustainability starts on the way to work

As a subsidiary of Galliker, but also with our own character, we at Imbach focus on efficiency, sustainable thinking and personal responsibility. Sustainability is a core value for us - and we are delighted that many of our employees actively support this idea. We particularly appreciate their commitment to greater sustainability within the company - and also in their private lives, for example by taking environmentally friendly routes to work.

On the road by bike: exemplary employees for a greener future

Christian Fischer is particularly committed to sustainability on his way to work: Every day, he rides around 25 kilometers from Sursee to Emmenbrücke - by bike. "That way, I cover 50 kilometers a day and get to work feeling good. At the same time, I'm doing something good for the environment," he says. For Christian, the journey to work is not just transportation, but also training and a personal challenge. In the last five years, he has covered an impressive 25,000 kilometers on his bike - a great example of how personal goals can be combined with sustainable action.

Goncalves Gaspar Diamantino is also a real inspiration: he rides his bike to work in all weathers. "Not only does it help to protect the environment, it also keeps me fit and healthy," he says. His attitude shows that small decisions in everyday life can make a big difference.

For Ivo Zivkovic, cycling is also his first choice: he rides to work three to four times a week - weather permitting. "I live very close by, so the car is simply unnecessary," he explains. In addition to the environmental aspect, he also sees the health benefits of cycling.

Public transport and footpaths as sustainable alternatives

Not everyone can commute by bike every day - but here too, many employees rely on sustainable alternatives such as public transport or walking. André Dönni, for example, does not use a car at all and only uses public transport or walks. "That's a conscious decision - for the environment and against the stress on the road," says André.
